The Odisha Government has successfully conducted its eighth recruitment drive at the Krishi Shiksha Sadan in Bhubaneswar, emphasizing its commitment to public service and employment generation. During the event, 812 appointment letters were handed over to new recruits across five government departments by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.

The Chief Minister highlighted the state’s vision of creating 65,000 jobs within the first two years of governance and a goal to fill 1.5 lakh vacancies in the public sector over five years. “Government jobs are a commitment to serve the public. Consider yourselves as servants of the people and work earnestly to resolve their issues,” he advised the newly recruited personnel.

Notable appointments include 442 Ayush Assistants in the Health Department, 65 Soil Conservation Workers, and 33 Assistant Horticulture Officers under the Agriculture Department. The Steel and Mines Department welcomed 189 Junior Mining Officers, while other departments saw numerous administrative and technical recruitments.

Since assuming office, the government has taken significant strides to energize state infrastructure and governance by filling vacant posts that had remained unoccupied for years. With over 25,000 appointments made through eight recruitment fairs in less than a year, the state is steadily progressing towards a more dynamic workforce.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister reiterated the importance of skilled human resources in achieving Odisha’s developmental goals, emphasizing transparency and dedication in the recruitment processes.

The ceremony was attended by esteemed officials, including Dr. Mukesh Mahaling, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, and Bibhuti Bhushan Jena, Minister of Steel and Mines, among others. Newly recruited officers expressed gratitude for the transparent and merit-based approach adopted by the government.

This initiative stands testament to the state administration’s dedication to addressing unemployment and fostering growth across sectors such as health, agriculture, and natural resources management.
