Bhubaneswar, May 16, 2025 ( Newshub Desk)– In a landmark event at the Skill Development Institute (SDI), Bhubaneswar, the Governor of Odisha inaugurated the International Language Training Centre (LTC) and flagged off the ‘Skill on Wheel’ initiative.

These programs, backed by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), aim to enhance youth employability with global opportunities and mobile skill training access.

The inauguration was graced by Minister of State for Industries, Skill Development, and Technical Education, Sampad Chandra Swain, along with key officials from Indian Oil Corporation and the Skill Development & Technical Education Department.

Odisha’s growing prominence in skill training took centre stage as the Governor lauded SDI Bhubaneswar’s infrastructure, positioning the state as the ‘Skill Hub of Eastern India.’

The International LTC will provide students with foreign language proficiency and pre-departure assistance, facilitating international career paths.

Meanwhile, ‘Skill on Wheel’, a mobile training initiative, aims to bridge skill gaps in remote areas, ensuring accessibility for all.

Minister Swain acknowledged Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s vision behind SDI Bhubaneswar’s success, reaffirming Odisha’s pivotal role in India’s Skill India Mission.

With these initiatives, Odisha continues to strengthen its workforce development and global career prospects.
