The Odisha government has approved the construction of a new flyover from Jayadev Vihar to Nandankanan in Bhubaneswar.
Initial technical work is about to begin, informed Works Minister Prithviraj Harichandan on Tuesday.
The flyover will connect the existing national highway flyover at Jayadev Vihar to Nandankanan, improving traffic flow.
The design includes escape routes at major intersections for smooth navigation. The four-lane road will be constructed above the existing road to enhance convenience and safety.
The project aims to complete a significant portion by 2027-28.
