CM Majhi Unveils High-Tech Police Facilities in Keonjhar

Keonjhar, Odisha — May 5, 2025 ( Newshub Desk): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi marked a significant milestone in law enforcement infrastructure today by inaugurating newly constructed police stations and reserve police office buildings in Keonjhar Town.

These state-of-the-art facilities are designed to enhance public service, police efficiency, and crime prevention.

The Town Police Station, built at a cost of ₹3.34 crore, and the Reserve Police Office, costing ₹2.76 crore, are equipped with advanced surveillance systems, fire safety measures, and data storage facilities.

To further boost police mobility, CM Majhi flagged off 17 SUV vehicles and 80 motorbikes, reinforcing rapid response capabilities in the region.

Emphasising a people-centric approach, the Chief Minister encouraged police personnel to serve with efficiency, respect, and fairness.

He also announced a massive recruitment drive to fill 32,000 police posts—16,000 for existing vacancies and another 16,000 for newly created positions.

Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) Yogesh Bahadur Khurania expressed confidence that the modernised infrastructure would significantly improve law and order, ensuring swift action against crime while eradicating political interference in policing.

The event was attended by Higher Education and Culture Minister Suryabansi Suraj, local MLAS, and senior police officials, reflecting the government’s commitment to a safer and more efficient law enforcement system.

This development signals a new era of effective policing in Odisha, promising enhanced security and accessibility for citizens.
