The actress, known for her powerful performances, has signed on to the upcoming action-packed film Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the filmmaker behind Animal.
Initially, Padukone had turned down the offer due to her pregnancy, but a twist of fate landed her back in the project.
Prabhas, her co-star, suffered an injury while filming Fauji, leading to production delays. When the film schedule shifted, Deepika was reconsidered for the role and ultimately accepted the offer.
Sources suggest that Deepika is charging a hefty sum for her role in Spirit, cementing her position as one of Bollywood’s highest-paid actresses.
Shooting is set to begin in October 2025, with fans eagerly awaiting a collaboration between Deepika, Prabhas, and Vanga.
