Bhubaneswar, July 9(Newshub desk): In a bid to enhance public transport and boost tourism, the Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) has launched its much-anticipated double-decker Ama Bus service along the Bhubaneswar–Puri corridor.
Officially flagged off today, the service—designated Route No. 50 connects Bhubaneswar Railway Station to Puri Bus Stand with stops at key cultural and commuter hotspots.
Passengers can now enjoy a panoramic travel experience with scenic views of Dhauli, the artisan town of Pipili, and the sacred Sakhigopal temple, among others.
With prominent stops including Raj Mahal Square, State Museum, Ravi Talkies, Uttara Square, and Pipili Bypass, the route balances the needs of daily commuters and tourists alike.
“This launch signifies CRUT’s commitment to modern, accessible, and sustainable transit solutions while showcasing Odisha’s heritage,” said a CRUT spokesperson.
The agency has also enabled real-time schedule tracking through its official website and mobile app, ensuring a smooth and informed commute.
The move is expected to ease vehicular congestion, especially during peak travel hours and festival seasons, while doubling as a mobile window into the region’s cultural vibrancy.
