Bhubaneswar, May 31, ( Newshub Desk) – A minor fire broke out in the last bogie of the Secunderabad-Howrah Falaknuma Express near Kantapada railway station in Odisha’s Balasore district on Friday morning.
The incident, attributed to a fault in the brake system, was quickly spotted by a gateman, who promptly alerted the station master.
Railway authorities acted swiftly, halting the train for 45 minutes to ensure the fire was completely extinguished before resuming its journey.
Thankfully, no casualties or injuries were reported, and officials assured passengers that safety measures were being reinforced to prevent future mishaps.
Passengers onboard expressed gratitude for the quick response, with several commending the efficiency of the railway staff.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the exact cause of the malfunction and will conduct inspections to enhance train safety measures.
