Goa, India – May 21, ( Newshub Desk): IndiGo Airlines has issued a travel advisory for passengers flying to and from Goa as heavy rain and thunderstorms continue to affect flight schedules.
The airline warned of possible delays and cancellations and urged travellers to check their flight status before heading to the airport.
IndiGo shared an update on social media, stating, “Goa is experiencing rain, which may affect flight operations. Stay updated on your flight status via our website for the latest information.
The airline’s customer service teams are actively assisting affected passengers.
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an Orange Warning for intense rainfall over the next two days, which will later be downgraded to a Yellow Warning. IMD official N.P. Kulkarni confirmed that South Goa has already recorded nearly 70mm of rainfall, with more expected.
Thunderstorms with winds gusting at 30–40 kmph may further complicate travel conditions, affecting both air and road traffic. IndiGo advised passengers to allocate extra travel time and stay updated with the latest announcements
