( Newshub Desk)In a decisive show of military strength, India has successfully ended hostilities with Pakistan following precision strikes under Operation Sindoor.

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar confirmed that the May 10 ceasefire was solely the result of India’s military response, countering claims of U.S. mediation.

India launched targeted strikes on nine terrorist infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on May 7, following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.

Pakistan retaliated with attacks on Indian military bases between May 8-10, only to be repelled with force. On May 10, both nations agreed to cease all military actions across land, air, and sea.

Jaishankar emphasised India’s self-defence strategy, stating that Pakistan was forced to de-escalate after India neutralised its key airbases and air defence systems.

The minister also noted China’s role, revealing that many of the weapons used by Pakistani forces were of Chinese origin.

The Indian government continues to stress its stance on cross-border terrorism, citing that terror outfits continue to operate openly from Pakistani cities and towns.

This firm military response has reinforced India’s resolve against terrorism and regional instability.
