Bhubaneswar (Newshub Desk)– Amid mounting pressure over the alleged assault of BMC Additional Commissioner Ratnakar Sahoo, BJP leader Jagannath Pradhan held a closed-door meeting on Wednesday evening with Odisha BJP President Manmohan Samal to discuss internal party matters.
The meeting, lasting over an hour at the party’s state headquarters, follows strong public condemnation and protests spearheaded by the Odisha Administrative Service Association, which is demanding Pradhan’s arrest.
While Samal declined to disclose details, he acknowledged the seriousness of the issue and reaffirmed the BJP’s stance: “No one is above the law. The government will take appropriate action.”
Despite speculation, no concrete decision regarding Pradhan’s political role was announced. BJP MLA Babu Singh, also present at the venue, confirmed Pradhan’s willingness to cooperate fully with legal proceedings.
The BJP leadership maintains that the matter is being closely examined and reiterated its commitment to legal accountability, regardless of a leader’s stature within the party.
