Kendrapara, Odisha (Newshub Desk)—7 May 2025: In the wake of recent terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, India’s military launched Operation Sindoor to retaliate against terrorist hideouts.
Two soldiers from Dangamal village, Kendrapara district, Odisha, have emerged as crucial participants in this operation. Their families and village take immense pride in their courage and dedication.
The soldiers, Shashikant Bedi (24) and Priyabrata Behera (45), serve in India’s Border Security Force (BSF).
They have actively contributed to counterterrorism efforts following the Pahalgam attacks, where 28 Indian tourists lost their lives. Their deployment in Jammu and Kashmir has instilled a wave of patriotism in their hometown, where prayers and celebrations mark their bravery.
Shashikant’s father, Sadashiv Bedi, expressed both concern and pride, stating, “My son is serving the nation, and that fills me with honour.
We know he is fighting bravely, and India will emerge victorious.” Similarly, Priyabrata’s family, including his brother Preeti Ranjan, conveyed their admiration, emphasising the strength of Indian forces against terrorism.
With military action unfolding, India’s strike against terrorist bases in Pakistan has garnered national attention and widespread support. Citizens across the country are rallying behind the armed forces, viewing Operation Sindoor as a decisive step in national security.
As their village eagerly awaits their safe return, the soldiers remain on the front lines, ensuring the defense of the nation.
