Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated Maharaja Jajati Keshari Medical College & Hospital in Jajpur district.
The medical college and hospital have been set up in Jajpur district with an expenditure of Rs 491.25 crore. It has received approval for 50 MBBS seats for the current academic year, with plans to double the seats next year.
The Chief Minister inaugurated several other projects on the premises, which were constructed with over Rs 16 crore, including a new nursing college with an allocation of Rs 12 crore. A new town hall and the renovated Vyasa Sarovar (pond) in Jajpur town were also inaugurated.
The state government announced a provision of Rs 50 crore for the redevelopment of subsidiary shrines on the premises of Maa Biraja temple and Rs 22.43 crore for the development of Biraja Agneswar Haat.
A new bus terminal will be constructed in Jajpur with an expenditure of Rs 30 crore.
