(Newshub Desk)Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh each for the families of three Odia workers who tragically lost their lives in a fire at the Sigachi Pharma plant in Telangana.

The fire, which broke out late Wednesday night in the industrial unit near Sangareddy, claimed six lives, including the three from Odisha—identified as Manoj Pradhan, Subal Sahu, and Ajay Mallick.

Expressing profound grief, CM Majhi assured that the state government would extend all necessary support to the bereaved families. “This is an irreparable loss. We stand with the families in this moment of grief,” he said.

The state administration is also coordinating with Telangana officials to expedite the return of the victims’ remains.

Odisha Labour Department officials have been dispatched to facilitate necessary legal and logistical assistance.

An investigation has been launched by the Telangana government to determine the cause of the fire. Preliminary reports suggest a chemical mishap may have triggered the incident.
