The Odisha Congress has announced its plans to organise “Samvidhan Banchao Divas” (Save the Constitution Day) on April 28, with the aim of raising awareness among village communities about the importance of conducting a caste census and ensuring rights for Other Backward Classes (OBC).
A state-level event will take place in Bhubaneswar on the designated day. Following this, the Congress party will launch an extensive campaign across the state from May 3 to May 30, engaging with citizens and spreading the message of inclusivity and equality.
Congress leaders emphasise that the movement aligns with their commitment to protect constitutional rights and address social disparities. The campaign is expected to create significant awareness about OBC rights and the pressing need for an updated caste census to inform policy decisions.
