The initiative, led by the Commerce and Transport Department, involved coordinated efforts to transport students from Jammu to Delhi via a special train, followed by further arrangements for their journey back to Odisha.
At transit points, government officials provided necessary assistance, ensuring a smooth and secure passage.
To facilitate communication and support for students and their families, a 24×7 control room was set up at Odisha Bhawan in New Delhi.
The urgency of the evacuation increased after reports of drone and missile attacks near Jammu, highlighting the volatile situation.
Local authorities and parents have commended the Odisha government’s proactive measures, applauding the swift response in safeguarding students amid the crisis.
