( Newshub desk ) :In a bid to make early childhood education more engaging and accessible, the Odisha government has unveiled an innovative initiative featuring ‘Jadu Pedi’ kits. These kits, targeted at students from Shishu Vatika (preschool) through Class 2, are designed to enhance the learning experience through playful and creative methods.
The kits will be distributed across 45,000 schools in the state, reaching thousands of young learners. Each kit includes books, booklets, picture collections, and educational materials covering key subjects such as mathematics, science, geography, and general knowledge.
With a substantial allocation of ₹90 crore, the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to fostering foundational skills in young children without imposing undue pressure.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi emphasised the importance of enjoyable and effective learning, stating that this initiative will not only attract children to education but also strengthen their future prospects.
The launch of the ‘Jadu Pedi’ kits marks a significant step forward in enhancing the quality and appeal of early childhood education in Odisha. By focusing on learning through play and entertainment, the state aims to set a benchmark in innovative educational practices.
