In a major step forward, the Odisha government has introduced a fast-track admission process for higher education programs, aiming to enhance academic efficiency and student experiences.
Admissions for postgraduate courses, including B.Ed, M.Ed, and BH.Ed programs are already underway, while undergraduate course admissions will commence on April 16, 2025.
The key highlight is the adoption of the Common Application Form (CAF) under the Student Academic Management System (SAMS), simplifying the process for students. Following the National Education Policy (NEP-2020), students can now opt for customizable curricula, including options like single majors with minors, double majors, or even three minors.
The government has set ambitious goals to start undergraduate classes by July 10, 2025, ensuring a timely academic schedule that benefits both students and institutions. With these reforms, Odisha is paving the way for a more inclusive and adaptive education system.
