(Newshub Desk)In a bold stride toward long-term development, the Odisha government has instituted a centralised Vision Cell to spearhead its Vision-2036 and Vision-2047 agendas.

This initiative follows the launch of the Viksit Bharat, Viksit Odisha roadmap, inaugurated during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit.

The Vision Cell will act as the state’s strategic nerve centre, conducting monthly departmental reviews and enhancing inter-departmental coordination.

It seeks to fast-track the implementation of transformative projects and reinforce accountability across all government layers.

To embed this vision at the grassroots level, Vision Units will be established in every district, ensuring hyper-local monitoring and feedback.

Oversight will rest with a high-level committee chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, supported by additional high-powered groups led by the CM and the Chief Secretary.

Notably, NITI Aayog CEO B.V.R. Subrahmanyam lauded Odisha’s ‘36 for 36’ model—targeting advancement across 30 districts and 6 key sectors—as a replicable framework for holistic development.

He emphasised the importance of robust institutional mechanisms to achieve Odisha’s centennial milestone in 2036 and India’s 100th year of independence in 2047.

This strategic push positions the Odisha Vision Cell as a cornerstone in aligning local aspirations with national ambitions, setting the pace for an inclusive and empowered future.
