Bhubaneswar ( Newshub Desk): The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has issued a recruitment notification for 314 Assistant Professor positions across government-run medical colleges in Odisha.
Starting May 26, 2025, eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official OPSC portal (opsc.gov.in).
The recruitment aims to bolster faculty strength in medical institutions, covering disciplines like Anatomy, Physiology, General Medicine, Paediatrics, and Pathology.
To qualify, applicants must hold MD, MS, DNB, or M.Sc. degrees in relevant fields along with mandatory teaching experience, per National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines.
Candidates should be aged 21 to 45 years as of May 1, 2025, with age relaxations available for reserved categories.
The application fee stands at ₹500 for General and OBC candidates, whereas SC, ST, and PwD applicants from Odisha are exempt from payment.
The selection process may involve a written test and/or an interview.
Successful candidates will be placed in Level 12 of the pay matrix, earning a starting salary of ₹79,800 per month plus allowances.
