Managing stress before exams is crucial. A certain level of stress is normal, but it shouldn’t become overwhelming. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi advised this during the “Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025” event today at Unit-1 Government High School in Bhubaneswar.
Exam periods often bring anxiety for both students and parents. To address this, Chief Minister Majhi encouraged students to effectively manage their time, stay resilient, and avoid unnecessary stress. He urged them to listen to their teachers, concentrate on their studies, and maintain confidence in their abilities. “Don’t be afraid of exams; fear can hinder your focus. Remember to take short breaks during your study sessions to help sustain concentration,” he noted.
“The exam will eventually be over,” he continued. “I truly believe your hard work will pay off. If you consistently pursue your goals, success will follow. Focus on your preparation instead of the outcomes. Pay attention to what you need to know for the exam and create summary notes for the subjects you’ll be assessed on. Review these notes regularly to calm your nerves as exam day approaches.”
Regarding the use of digital devices, the Chief Minister recommended that students limit their use during study and exam times. “Stay focused; prepare key points in advance, grasp the basics, and revise consistently before the exam. The Brahm Muhurat is a great time for study and effective memorization.”
He encouraged students to stay stress-free and view their teachers’ advice as a valuable tool. “Keep in mind the strategies for reducing stress and implement them. I genuinely believe that your future is bright. Just focus on your studies and adhere to your teachers’ guidance. Everything will turn out well—there’s no doubt about that.”
The program welcomed 168 students from Unit-1 Government High School, who had the opportunity to interact with the Chief Minister and ask questions about exam preparation. Notable attendees included students Liza Nayak, Shubham Patra, J. Meenakshi, Sasmita Sahu, and Sanjeev Digal. The Chief Minister also handed out exam preparation kits to the students.
The event was attended by various dignitaries, including the Minister of School and Mass Education, Nityananda Gond, Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister, Anupam Saha, and Smt. Ananya Das, State Project Director of the Odisha School Education Programme Authority, along with teachers and students from Unit-1 Government High School.
