Kalinganagar, July 3, 2025: In observance of ‘Van Mahotsav’, Tata Steel Foundation, in collaboration with the Logistics Operations and Environment Department of Tata Steel Kalinganagar, successfully organised a mass plantation and riverbank clean-up drive at the Brahmani Riverbank area in Kalinganagar on Thursday.

More than 70 volunteers from various departments of Tata Steel Kalinganagar participated in the drive, planting 300 saplings along the Brahmani Riverbank. This effort aimed to enhance green cover, prevent soil erosion, and support local biodiversity. Apart from plantation, a plastic waste clean-up drive was also conducted to mitigate pollution and help restore the ecological integrity of the river ecosystem.

This ‘Van Mahotsav’ celebration underscores the critical role of volunteer-driven initiatives in promoting environmental stewardship and collective responsibility for a sustainable future.
