Kolkata, May 31, ( Newshub Desk)— A Pune law student, Sharmistha Panoli, has been arrested in Gurugram after allegedly posting offensive remarks regarding Operation Sindoor on Instagram, triggering outrage online.
The Kolkata Police registered an FIR against Panoli after multiple failed attempts to serve her legal notices. This led to a court-issued arrest warrant, culminating in her detention.
Following her arrest, Panoli issued a public apology on social media, stating that she never intended to hurt anyone and promising greater caution in her future posts.
