Puri, Odisha  (Newshub Desk )– Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has once again demonstrated his artistic prowess by sculpting a remarkable five-tonne sand artwork on the Puri beach.

This striking tribute honours the Indian armed forces for their precision strikes during Operation Sindoor.

The sand sculpture, standing six feet tall, features the patriotic message “Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Justice Served,” reflecting the transformation of sindoor—from a symbol of sacredness to a force of strength and justice in national defence.

The tribute comes in the wake of India’s strategic strikes on nine terror infrastructure sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on May 7, following the deadly Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 civilian lives on April 22.

“This artwork is our salute to the bravery of the Indian Army and Air Force,” said Pattnaik, who was assisted by students from his sand art institute in crafting the sculpture.

Meanwhile, in a show of preparedness, Odisha conducted civil defence mock drills across 12 locations, testing emergency response strategies amid growing tensions with Pakistan.

The exercises were part of a broader effort led by the Ministry of Home Affairs to enhance disaster management and coordination at various administrative levels.

As India continues to reaffirm its stance against cross-border terrorism, Pattnaik’s sand art stands as a symbol of national resilience and tribute to the guardians of justice.
