Berhampur, April: In a major step towards enhancing power reliability during the peak summer season, TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) has upgraded a 5 MVA transformer to a 10 MVA transformer at the Nabarangpur Primary Sub-Station (PSS). With this upgrade, the substation is now equipped with an 8 MVA transformer and the newly installed 10 MVA transformer, increasing its total capacity from 13 MVA to 18 MVA. This enhancement will ensure a stable and quality power supply to over 14,000 consumers in Nabarangpur city and surrounding areas.

Recognizing the increasing demand for electricity during summer, TPSODL has proactively strengthened its infrastructure to provide uninterrupted and reliable power to both residential and industrial consumers. Nabarangpur houses several rice mills, cashew processing units, and small-scale industries that depend on a stable power supply. With this upgrade, businesses in the region can operate more efficiently without disruptions.

Shudhanshu Sekhar Parida, a resident of Nabarangpur, expressed his appreciation for the initiative, saying, “Electricity services in Nabarangpur are already good, and this upgrade will further enhance power reliability. It’s great to see TPSODL taking steps to improve supply during summer.”

Mr. Amit Kumar Garg, CEO of TPSODL, stated, “Ensuring reliable power supply, especially during summer, remains our top priority. This upgrade is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure and meet the growing demand. We are continuously working to overcome challenges and deliver quality electricity to all our consumers.”
