In a heartfelt gesture of service and community engagement, TP Western Odisha Distribution Limited (TPWODL), a joint venture between Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, has organized Jal Chhatra stall at Bhutapada, Sambalpur on the auspicious occasion of the Holy Sital Sasthi Festival.

The Jal Chhatra initiative aims to provide cold drinking water to devotees, pedestrians, and the general public participating in the vibrant religious processions and celebrations during the peak summer heat.
Sital Sasthi, a significant cultural and religious festival in Western Odisha, marks the divine marriage of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati and draws thousands of devotees and tourists every year. Understanding the challenges posed by the scorching temperatures, TPWODL has set up hydration kiosks in high-traffic areas of Sambalpur.

The initiative has been widely appreciated by the public, with many lauding TPWODL’s sensitivity to local customs and its proactive approach to public service.
