TPCODL Observes ‘ASA BAHITIYE KINIBA ABHIJAN’ as Part of Odia Pakhya Celebrations

Bhubaneswar: TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL), continuing its Odia Pakhya celebrations, observed “ASA BAHITIYE KINIBA ABHIJAN” on 9th April, a day dedicated to promoting reading habits and celebrating Odisha’s rich literary legacy.

As part of the initiative, TPCODL collaborated with Ama Odisha to set up a special book stall at its state-of-the-art Power Distribution Technology Centre in Bhubaneswar.

The stall featured a wide range of Odia books, including biographies of eminent personalities and titles on Odisha’s history and culture, encouraging employees to reconnect with the state’s literary heritage.

TPCODL has been actively celebrating Odia Pakhya from April 1 to 14, 2026, with a series of initiatives aimed at promoting the Odia language, culture and traditions among employees and the wider community. The celebrations commenced with Odisha Diwas and have included themed observances such as Khadi Chuan Dibasa, Paramparika Poshak Paridhan Dibasa and Odia Nama Phalaka Dibasa.

The event was attended by Shri Dushyant Tyagi, COO, TPCODL, along with senior officials and employees, who actively participated by engaging with the book exhibition, reading and gifting Odia books.

Commenting on the occasion, TPCODL CEO Shri Arvind Singh said, “At TPCODL, we take pride in celebrating Odisha’s vibrant culture and literary heritage. Observances like ‘Asa BahiTiye Kiniba Abhijan’ inspire us to stay connected with our roots while fostering a culture of learning and appreciation for our language and traditions.”
