Bhubaneswar: In a tragic turn of events, President Droupadi Murmu has vehemently condemned the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which specifically targeted innocent tourists. Calling it a “dastardly and inhuman act,” the President emphasized the appalling nature of violence against civilians, particularly tourists who seek to explore the beauty of India.
Expressing her heartfelt condolences on social media platform X, President Murmu shared her anguish with the victims’ families and wished for the speedy recovery of those injured. She stated, “Attacking innocent citizens, in this case tourists, is utterly appalling and unpardonable.”
The attack has garnered widespread outrage across the country, drawing condemnation from all quarters. With several tourists injured and lives lost, the incident has become a stark reminder of the urgent need to curb violence and ensure the safety of civilians.
