Bhubaneswar : IndusInd General Insurance, as part of its ongoing PMFBY awareness and outreach programme, recently conducted a Mobile Van campaign across Bargarh, Bhadrak, Gajapati, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Kalahandi, Puri and Subarnapur districts of Odisha. The initiative aimed to create awareness among farmers about the benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) and encourage greater participation in the scheme by directly engaging with rural communities through villages, local markets and other high-footfall locations. Key information regarding scheme benefits, eligibility criteria, enrolment processes, farmer premium contribution, coverage against notified crop losses and claim settlement procedures was disseminated through continuous public announcements. To enhance visibility and outreach, PMFBY-branded banners and posters were prominently displayed, while brochures were distributed to provide farmers with simple and easy-to-understand information about the scheme. The campaign helped strengthen awareness and understanding of crop insurance, encouraging farmers to view PMFBY as an important financial safeguard against agricultural risks and unforeseen crop losses.
