TP Northern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPNODL) has been awarded the Best CSR Project Award by UBS Forums, Pune, for its impactful Integrated Development Programme. Implemented for families affected by the devastating March 2025 hailstorm in Bisoi Block of Mayurbhanj District, Odisha, the initiative supported vulnerable communities across Pundida, Kesargadia and Saraspada, where many households suffered severe losses to crops, livestock and livelihoods.

Adopting an integrated approach covering livelihood, health, and education, TPNODL directly benefited over 700 individuals and households to build long-term community resilience. The company provided agricultural input kits comprising millet and vegetable seeds, compost, and bio-fertilisers, as well as mushroom spawn, poultry, and goat units backed by comprehensive veterinary care for vulnerable households. Residential training programmes enhanced sustainable farming practices, while Mobile Health Units delivered hygiene kits alongside awareness education for adolescent girls. The programme further addressed health and nutrition needs through specialized nutrition kits for children under six years, pregnant women, and lactating mothers. Additionally, three Community Learning Centres were established within government school premises to strengthen foundational literacy and numeracy in the region.

Mr. Ranjan Sharma, Head – CSR, and Mr. Rajesh Ranjan Ghadai, Executive Engineer – Udala Electrical Division, received the award on behalf of the organisation at an event held in Pune on 25th August, 2026.

Expressing his sincere acknowledgement, Mr. Dushyant Kumar Tyagi, Chief Executive Officer – TPNODL stated, “We are deeply honoured to receive this prestigious recognition at a national level. This award reinforces our unwavering dedication to community resilience and purpose-led CSR, reflecting the core organisational philosophy of creating sustainable social value. We remain committed to empowering vulnerable communities and driving sustainable, inclusive growth across Northern Odisha.”

TPNODL remains committed to inclusive and sustainable development across Northern Odisha through its robust CSR framework. The company operates six Vocational Training Centres, upskilling nearly 1,000 youth and women annually with market-aligned skills to enable financial independence, and fifteen Women Literacy Centres that have empowered over 600 women through functional and digital literacy. This is further strengthened by Mobile Medical Van services providing free health camps in underserved areas and livelihood enhancement initiatives through Self-Help Groups.
