TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL), a joint venture of Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, today flagged off the Solar Rath from the Office of the District Collector, ANUGOLA, to create awareness about the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana and promote rooftop solar adoption across the district.
The Solar Rath campaign, flagged off by Sri Abdaal M. Akhtar, IAS, Collector, ANUGOLA, in the presence of senior TPCODL officials. The vehicle will travel across Model Solar Villages and other villages in ANUGOLA district, educating consumers on the benefits of solar energy, household rooftop solar systems, government subsidies and the installation process. The Solar Sanga team will also engage with consumers and address their queries.
Speaking on the occasion, Sri Abdaal M. Akhtar, IAS, Collector, ANUGOLA, said, “The Solar Rath campaign will take awareness about rooftop solar directly to the people and help more households benefit from the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. Such initiatives will contribute to promoting renewable energy and sustainable development.”
Sri Gajanan S. Kale, CEO, TPCODL, said, “Through the Solar Rath campaign, we are taking the benefits of the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana closer to consumers. By creating awareness and engaging with people at the grassroots level, we aim to accelerate rooftop solar adoption and contribute to Odisha’s clean energy future.”
TPCODL continues to promote rooftop solar adoption through initiatives such as ‘Mo Chhata, Mo Sanchaya’, Gram Sabhas and the Solar Rath campaign, making clean and affordable solar energy more accessible to consumers.
