Tata Steel India reported crude steel production of 5.82 million tons in 1QFY27, while deliveries stood at 5.17 million tons during the quarter.

Crude steel production increased 11% year-on-year (YoY), primarily driven by higher output at the company’s Jamshedpur and Kalinganagar facilities. Domestic deliveries also grew 11% YoY, broadly in line with production, supported by an enriched product mix and the company’s strong marketing franchise.

The Automotive & Special Products vertical recorded its best-ever first-quarter volumes of approximately 0.9 million tons. The continued ramp-up of Kalinganagar’s Continuous Annealing and Galvanising lines contributed to a 20% YoY increase in high-end products, reinforcing Tata Steel’s leadership position in the segment.

The Branded Products & Retail vertical also achieved its best-ever first-quarter volumes, reaching approximately 1.7 million tons. The growth was driven by the performance of the company’s established brands. Tata Tiscon posted its best-ever first-quarter volumes, registering 33% YoY growth, while Tata Steelium, the company’s cold rolled steel brand, recorded a robust 41% YoY increase.
