( Newshub Desk) The Odisha government has announced an ambitious plan to upgrade three state-run medical colleges to AIIMS++ standards.
Health Minister Naba Kishore Majhi shared the update during a press briefing, emphasising the state’s commitment to enhancing healthcare infrastructure and medical education.
The three colleges—MKCG Medical College, SCB Medical College, and VIMSAR—will undergo significant enhancements in facilities, equipment, and academic programs.
This initiative aligns with the Odisha government’s vision to deliver world-class medical services and foster excellence in healthcare training.
The project is expected to bring a transformative change to Odisha’s healthcare system, benefiting millions of residents and setting a benchmark for other states.
Minister Majhi highlighted the importance of this upgrade in addressing the increasing demand for specialized medical care and research.
