Despite strict protocols prohibiting photography inside the temple premises, an image surfaced on social media, allegedly taken and shared by Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen.
Sen was reportedly visiting Bhubaneswar for an event and had the opportunity to seek the blessings of Lord Lingaraj.
It is claimed that a temple servitor took the photo and shared it online, violating the rules in place.
This incident has led to concerns about how such breaches are occurring despite rigorous security checks.
Temple executive officer and additional district magistrate Rudra Prasad Mohanty commented that the matter would be informed to the trust board for review.
