( Newshub Desk) Odisha is gearing up for a special visit as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to arrive next month for the first anniversary of the BJP government in the state.
The announcement was made by Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari, who stated that the PMO is actively coordinating with Odisha’s Chief Minister Mohan Majhi to finalize the arrangements.
The celebrations, which will be held across the state from June 12 to June 19, aim to emphasise accountability-driven governance rather than simply marking the occasion.
Various events will take place at the district, block, panchayat, and urban local body levels to highlight the government’s achievements.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah is also likely to join the festivities. According to Pujari, the government has already fulfilled 11 election promises within its first year, which will be showcased during the week-long events.
The visit by PM Modi is expected to be a significant political moment, reinforcing the BJP’s commitment to governance and development in Odisha.
Political analysts suggest that the anniversary celebrations could serve as an opportunity for the party to further engage with the state’s electorate ahead of future elections.
