BALESHWAR, ODISHA — TP Northern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPNODL), a joint venture between Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, commemorated India’s 80th Independence Day honouring the valour and sacrifices of the nation’s freedom fighters with patriotic fervour at its corporate office and across all DISCOM key office establishments.
The ceremonial proceedings commenced at the corporate office in Baleshwar with the hoisting of the National Flag by Mr. Dushyant Kumar Tyagi, Chief Executive Officer of TPNODL, in the presence of the executive leadership team, employees, consumers, and key stakeholders.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Dushyant Kumar Tyagi extended his warm wishes to all attendees and emphasized the importance of honouring the legacy of freedom fighters by contributing toward an inclusive, just and prosperous future. He highlighted that TPNODL remains steadfast in driving regional and national growth through reliable power delivery, uncompromising safety standards, advanced technology integration, and a dedicated consumer-first ethos. Furthermore, Mr. Tyagi underscored that widespread solar energy adoption represents a strategic imperative for long-term environmental sustainability and consumer energy independence.
In alignment with the Government’s vision for clean energy, TPNODL felicitated 20 consumers across five electrical circles as “Solar Champions” for their advocacy of green energy adoption through rooftop solar installations under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana and the ULA Model. During the occasion, employees driving the initiative at the grassroots level were also awarded for their dedication to advancing rooftop solar adoption across the utility’s operational areas.
The event concluded with TPNODL employees taking a collective pledge to uphold the core organizational values of integrity, safety, and customer-centricity, reaffirming the company’s resolve to power Northern Odisha with reliable, safe, and sustainable energy solutions
