Bhubaneswar: Odisha is set to host the first-ever National Mediation Workshop on September 28, 2025, marking a pivotal moment in India’s legal reform journey. The event will convene top judicial and legal minds, including Chief Justice of India B.R. Gavai, Supreme Court judges, state chief justices, law ministers, and Advocates General.

Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan chaired a high-level review meeting to ensure seamless execution. Key directives included inter-departmental coordination, a dedicated control room, and strict protocol adherence for dignitaries. The meeting saw participation from Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, DGP Y.B. Khurania, and senior officials from Law, Transport, and Commerce departments.

Security, logistics, and hospitality are being meticulously planned. Delegates will be treated to curated cultural excursions to Puri, Konark, and Lingaraj Temple, showcasing Odisha’s rich heritage.

The workshop aims to strengthen mediation practices nationwide and position Odisha as a capable host for future legal summits. With precision planning and cultural warmth, the state is ready to leave a lasting impression.
