(Newshub desk)Hyderabad’s cricketing sphere was rocked this week as Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) President Jagan Mohan Rao was arrested by the Telangana CID for allegedly orchestrating a black-market operation involving IPL 2025 tickets.
Sources allege that HCA officials pressured Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) into handing over excess complimentary passes, breaching a tripartite agreement between SRH, HCA, and the BCCI.
The franchise further accused HCA of intimidation tactics, including locking a corporate box to force compliance.
In response to escalating tensions, SRH considered relocating its home games from Hyderabad, prompting a government-led vigilance inquiry.
Efforts to resolve the conflict culminated in a meeting between HCA Secretary R. Devraj and SRH representatives, where both parties reaffirmed their commitment to issue 3,900 complimentary passes and improve the spectator experience at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
