Bhubaneswar: The 65th Empowered Committee on Infrastructure (ECI) meeting, chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg, IAS, has cleared five new Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects worth Rs 1130 crore.
These projects span critical sectors including health, sewerage treatment, urban development, water supply, and animal vaccine production.
The committee emphasised strict adherence to timelines and due diligence during execution, urging departments and sponsoring authorities to strengthen project delivery.
Highlighting the strategic importance of PPP initiatives, the Chief Secretary noted that such projects are vital for attracting private investment under Vision 2036 and ensuring sustainable development in Odisha.
In a significant move, the committee also approved collaboration between the PPP Cell of the Finance Department and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
This partnership aims to enhance project pipelines and build a PPP‑friendly ecosystem in the state.
